Players say Nova Wing II is nearly identical to the first game, essentially a copy-paste with the scrolling direction changed. The endless wave format removes story and levels from the predecessor, and there are no bosses, which some fans miss. The game is very short, players report fully upgrading within five minutes and completing all achievements by wave 20.
