What players say
Players say Risen is a classic Gothic-like RPG with great zero-to-hero progression and multiple quest solutions, but it suffers from game-breaking bugs and a very abrupt ending. Combat returns to the timed-click system of earlier Gothics and is praised, though enemy hordes of lizard people and the slow pacing frustrate many.
