Players say the game is unplayable out of the box due to launcher issues and crashes, with Ubisoft having long since abandoned support. A few who got it running call the graphics the series' best, but most agree the simulation and targeting are worse than Silent Hunter 3 or 4, the Wolves of Steel mod is widely cited as essential to make the game work properly.
