Players call this the peak of the series before later changes. It is simple and relaxing compared to other baseball sims, with a trade-happy AI and roster quirks like overvalued marginal players. Graphics are dated but that is not the draw, the game lives in spreadsheets. As of this writing the 2015 version is still preferred by those who want a classic feel.
