How it feels
You read through descriptive text and make choices to guide a lone adventurer through icy caves and mountains, with a moderate sense of urgency and a retro choose-your-own-adventure feel.

What players say
Players are split: some love the faithful adaptation of the classic Fighting Fantasy book, others find the random dice combat and linear structure frustrating. The game uses a bookmark save system, but the promised easier difficulty option appears not to be implemented. Performance is fine, but long-time fans note the source material was one of the weaker entries in the series.
