How it feels
A slow, cerebral chess match where each piece grows stronger and unlocks surprising abilities over the course of a campaign.

What players say
Pieces have special abilities that you level up, and maps include obstacles and wild layouts. Players enjoy the puzzle-like twist but warn that the late-game demands a lot of XP grinding, the AI uses its abilities inconsistently, and multiplayer is absent. A few note the lack of draw by repetition and the plain visuals.
