About

The 3ds version of Dragon Quest 11. This version has a 3D and 2D game mode that can be switched at locations in-game. Streetpass was also integrated into the game with a dungeon tied to it, The 3D mode is similar to the PS4 version with the player traveling through 3D environments with monsters roaming around. They can attack, or be attacked, by the player to initiate battles. The 2D mode uses pixelated sprites with a top-down view of the map. Battles are started through random encounters and use text to detail the results of battle under enemy sprites on the top screen with character stats shown on the bottom screen.
