Players praise the tower variety and element combo system, but many report frequent crashes, freezes, and bugs, especially when toggling speed or on newer hardware. The tutorial is widely criticized as confusing or nonexistent. The predecessor's map editor is gone, replaced by hand-drawn maps, which splits opinion. Coop works well, but the campaign is short with little to do after finishing.
