How it feels
A tense, open-world first-person shooter where you explore rural Montana, fight a fanatical cult, and use a variety of weapons and vehicles in cooperative or solo gameplay.

What players say
Players are split on whether this is the best or most repetitive Far Cry. The Montana setting, radio soundtrack, and villains like Joseph Seed get heavy praise, but the silent protagonist and samey missions wear thin. Co-op works well, though long load times and the Ubisoft Connect launcher frustrate many, and some resent the real ending being in DLC.
