Players say Hellway is a free, short roguelike that can be beaten in about five hours. The biggest complaint is the painfully slow movement, both for the character and combat, along with a tiny play area that some find hard to look at. Balance is uneven, with enemies that are either pushovers or threats, and the final boss is easier than the trash mobs.
