రామదాసు 1933లో విడుదలైన తెలుగు టాకీ సినిమా. ఇది కలకత్తాలోని ఈస్టు ఇండియా ఫిలిం కంపెనీ వారిచే తయారుచేయబడింది. శ్రీమాన్ బళ్ళారి, ధర్మవరం గోపాలాచార్యులు రచించిన రామదాసు నాటకము నుండి చలనచిత్రమునకు తగినట్లుగా మార్చబడింది. దీనికి అక్తర్ నవాజ్ డైరెక్టరు, కృష్ణగోపాల్ ఫోటోగ్రాఫర్, ఆర్. సి. విల్మన్, సి. యన్. నిగం శబ్దగ్రాహకులు. 1933లో ఈస్ట్ ఇండియా ఫిలిం కంపెనీ వారు అఖ్తర్ నవాజ్ దర్శకత్వంలో ‘రామదాసు’ సినిమా నిర్మాణానికి పూనుకున్నారు. అప్పట్లో బళ్ళారి రాఘవ, ధర్మవరం గోపాలాచార్యులు ‘రామదాసు’ నాటకాన్ని ప్రదర్శిస్తూ వుండేవారు. అదే నాటక స్క్రిప్టుని సినిమాగా తీసేందుకు ఏర్పాట్లు చేస్తున్నప్పుడు అందులో కబీరుగా నటించేందుకు బలరామయ్య అన్న రాధాకృష్ణయ్యకు, రాముడుగా నటించేందుకు మరో అన్న శేషాచలంకు ఆహ్వానాలు అందాయి.
