Beauty and the Beast is a 1934 American animated comedy short film directed by Isadore Freleng. The short was released on April 14, 1934. It is the 32nd film in the Merrie Melodies series, featuring the titular song by Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby, the second to be released in color via Cinecolor, as well as the first color cartoon to be directed by Freleng.
