கோவலன் 1934ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளிவந்த தமிழ்த் திரைப்படமாகும். இது ஒரு வரலாற்றுப் படமாகும். 14,861 அடி நீளம்கொண்ட இத்திரைப்படம் கல்கத்தாவில் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டது. ராயல் டாக்கீஸ் தயாரித்த இத்திரைப்படத்தில், வி. ஏ. செல்லப்பா, டி. பி. ராஜலட்சுமி உள்ளிட்ட பலரும் நடித்துள்ளனர். இது ஐம்பெரும் காப்பியங்களில் ஒன்றான சிலப்பதிகாரத்தை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு தயாரிக்கப்பட்டது என்றாலும் அக்காலகட்ட பார்வையாளர்களின் சமய நம்பிக்கையால் படத்தின் திரைக்கதையில் புராண இடைச்செருகல்கள் செய்யப்பட்டன. இருந்தாலும் இப்படம் இரசிகர்களின் ஆதரவைப் பெறவில்லை.
