What happens
Høit mot nord og langt mot vest er en norsk dokumentarfilm som ble tatt opp i 35 mm sort/hvitt av daværende fiskerikonsulent Thor Iversen (1873–1953). Filmen var en samling av opptak gjort mellom 1927 og 1937. Iversens opptak fra 1930 var fra På sildefiske, Vårtokt til Bjørnøya og Svalbardtokt, og var på ca 10min hver. I 1933 filmet han på Grønland, i 1935 på Jan Mayen og i 1936 filmet han "Hvor isbjørnen ferdes". Stumfilmen Høit mot nord og langt mot vest ble vist i Bergen i 1939. En kortere versjon ble vist allerede i 1931. I nyere tid har det blitt arbeidet for å lage en utvidet, mer komplett versjon av den gamle filmen. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
