Valkoiset ruusut on Hannu Lemisen ohjaama suomalainen mustavalkoelokuva vuodelta 1943. Se pohjautuu Stefan Zweigin vuonna 1922 ilmestyneeseen novelliin ”Brief einer Unbekannten”, josta käsikirjoituksen muokkasivat salanimen Eino Seisjoki taakse kätkeytyneet Hannu Leminen ja Ilmari Unho. Elokuva sai Jussi-palkinnot ohjauksesta ja kuvauksesta, kun palkinto jaettiin ensi kertaa 16. marraskuuta 1944. Valkoisia ruusuja on pidetty Lemisen ”ehkä suurimpana rakkauselokuvana”, tinkimättömänä ja viimeisteltynä teoksena. Elokuvan päähenkilöä Aulia on pidetty Helena Karan vahvimpana suorituksena.lähde?
