Simple People (Russian: Простые люди) is a 1945 Soviet war romance film directed by Grigori Kozintsev and Leonid Trauberg. The film, along with the second part of Eisenstein's Ivan the Terrible was harshly criticized by Andrei Zhdanov and banned.
