The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

What happens

Vlčie diery je slovenský vojnový film režiséra Paľa Bielika z roku 1948. Snímka vznikla na motívy filmovej poviedky Udalosti bez mena, ktorú napísal sám Bielik. Dráma zachytáva osudy rodiny Svrčinovcov počas SNP od leta do zimy 1944. Základnou myšlienkou je podanie svedectva – nerovného zápasu slovenských partizánov proti nemeckej garnitúre. Vo filme ide o boj morálnej pravdy proti chorej fašistickej spoločnosti, ktorá si kladie na vrchol hodnôt zvrátené a demoralizované ciele. Film konkrétne poukazuje na dedinu ako jeden kolektív jednoduchých a nenápadných hrdinov so vztýčenou zbraňou. Druhú skupinu tvoria nemeckí vojaci odhodlaní plniť svoje poslanie. Bielik sa v oboch prípadoch nesnaží skupiny prezentovať čiernobielo, homogénne. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
