Laitakaupungin laulu on Edvin Laineen ohjaama suomalainen draamaelokuva, joka valmistui vuonna 1948. Elokuvan käsikirjoituksen laati Olavi Vesistö eli Olavi Veistäjä. Käsikirjoituksen muokkaustyöhön osallistui tiettävästi myös Laineen serkku kirjailija Toivo Kauppinen eli nimimerkki Topias. Elokuvan aiheena on surullinen perhetarina ja sen ehtäväksi on arvioitu köyhälistökortteleissa tehtävän huoltotyön merkityksen korostaminen. Pääosissa ovat Ansa Ikonen ja Tauno Palo.
