Milli fjalls og fjöru er fyrsta íslenska kvikmyndin í fullri lengd, sem og fyrsta talmyndin. Hún var frumsýnd árið 1949 og er 91 mínúta að lengd. Leikstjóri myndarinnar var Loftur Guðmundsson sem var mikill frumkvöðull í kvikmyndagerð á Íslandi. Myndin var frumsýnd í Gamla bíói 13. janúar 1949 og almennar sýningar hófust daginn eftir.
