Festen kulminerer, da medlemmer af Københavns Kommunalbestyrelse marcherer fra rådhuset, gennem indre by til Christiansborg. På pladsen foran Christiansborg har tusindvis af mennesker taget opstilling for at hylde grundloven. Borgerrepræsentationsformand Sigvald Hellberg og Folketingets formand Julius Bomholt holder tale.
