Dirigida per Cheng Yin i produïda per l'estudi de cinema de Changchun, narra una història ambientada en la Guerra Civil Xinesa on es representa la valentia de l'Exèrcit Popular d'Alliberament, en contrast amb la decadència de l'Exèrcit Nacional Revolucionari.
