Die Arbeit der Expeditionsteilnehmer an Bord und unter Wasser, ihre neuartigen Erkenntnisse bilden den Stoff für den Dokumentarfilm, der in eine Spielhandlung eingebettet ist. Lotte Hass ist Unterwassermodell und Hauptdarstellerin.
