What happens
Lähellä syntiä (Nära synden) on suomalainen mustavalkoinen elokuva vuodelta 1955. Lähellä syntiä perustuu Martti Larnin 1946 ilmestyneeseen romaaniin. Sen tapahtumat ajoittuvat vuosiin 1910–1929. Elokuvaversiossa romaanin tapahtumat siirrettiin Suomen sisällissodasta toiseen maailmansotaan. Elmer ja Margit tapaavat toisensa talvisodan kynnyksellä. Rakkaus syttyy liekkeihin, mutta valtioiden johtajat sytyttävät sodan. Kohtalo erottaa rakastavaiset neljäksitoista vuodeksi. Noina raskaina vuosina Margit joutuu talousvaikeuksissaan kenties elämään liian lähellä syntiä. Joulun tähtien tuikkiessa monet asiat saavat lopulta ratkaisunsa. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
