How it feels

A young woman from a houseboat in the Mississippi bayou falls for a college student whose plane crashes near her home. She helps nurse him back to health and later visits his wealthy family, where her naive ways cause both trouble and warmth.

Tammy and the Bachelor is a 1957 American romantic comedy film directed by Joseph Pevney and starring Debbie Reynolds as Tambrey "Tammy" Tyree, with Leslie Nielsen, Walter Brennan, Mala Powers, Sidney Blackmer, Mildred Natwick, Fay Wray, and Louise Beavers in supporting roles. It is the first of the four Tammy films. The screenplay by Oscar Brodney is based on the 1948 novel Tammy Out of Time by Cid Ricketts Sumner. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
