How it feels
Erik, the son of a wealthy farmer, and Anna, the daughter of a poor crofter, have loved each other since childhood. Their feuding families forbid them from being together, and when Anna learns that Erik's father wants him to marry a rich girl, she becomes ill and begins to lose her mind. The story follows whether their love can overcome the obstacles.
