Dresden. Unvergängliche Stadt ist ein DEFA-Dokumentarfilm von Walter Marten von 1956. Gezeigt wird das wiederaufgebaute Dresden mit einigen barocken Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber auch Neubaublöcken. Zu sehen sind Ausschnitte aus einem Konzert des Kreuzchores unter Rudolf Mauersberger im Zwinger, Studenten in der Technischen Hochschule, Kinder in einem Neubauviertel, Tänze von Palucca-Schülern, eine Aufführung des Freischütz von Carl Maria von Weber durch die Staatskapelle Dresden und Straßenszenen. Gewürdigt werden weitere bedeutende Persönlichkeiten, die in der Stadt wirkten, wie Friedrich Schiller, Theodor Körner und Richard Wagner.Dresden.
