Murheenkryynin poika on Aarne Laineen ohjaama komedia vuodelta 1958. Se on lajityypiltään sotilasfarssi ja suoranaista jatkoa 20 vuotta aiemmin valmistuneelle Suomen ensimmäiselle sotilasfarssille, Yrjö Nortan ja Toivo Särkän ohjaamalle Rykmentin murheenkryynille, jonka senkin käsikirjoitus oli Toivo "Topias" Kauppisen. Elokuva oli näyttelijä Aarne Laineen viimeinen ohjaus. Edellisen elokuvan näyttelijöistä mukana on ainakin Siiri Angerkoski, jälleen samassa roolissa Mimmi Aaltosena, mutta mukana on monia suomalaisen elokuvan kärkinimiä, joskaan tuolloin vielä ei niin merkittäviä näyttelijöitä. Monet elokuvan näyttelijät ovat Tampereelta, etenkin Veikko Sinisalo, Veijo Pasanen, Ritva Valkama ja Vili Auvinen. Elokuvan katsojamäärät jäivät vuoden keskitasoa tuntuvasti alhaisemmiksi.
