How it feels

An English village is mysteriously knocked unconscious for a day. Afterwards, all the women of childbearing age become pregnant. The children are born with glowing eyes and strange mental powers, and they slowly take control of the town.

What happens

Village of the Damned is a 1960 science fiction horror film by Anglo-German director Wolf Rilla. The film is adapted from the novel The Midwich Cuckoos (1957) by John Wyndham. The lead role of Professor Gordon Zellaby is played by George Sanders. A sequel, Children of the Damned (1964), followed, as did a remake, also called Village of the Damned (1995).
