How it feels
Ismail loves his neighbor Samia and they live in a popular neighborhood in Tanta. He proposes and her mother initially refuses but later agrees. The newlyweds travel to Cairo for their honeymoon but are surprised when the mother-in-law follows them. Ismail tries to get rid of her so he can enjoy the honeymoon.

شهر عسل بصل هو فيلم مصري من إنتاج سنة 1960.محمود قاسم، موسوعة الأفلام الروائية في مصر والعالم العربي، الجزء الثاني، الهيئة المصرية العامة للكتاب، 2006، ص 48. يحب إسماعيل (إسماعيل ياسين) جارته سامية (كريمان)، وهما يسكنان حياً شعبياً في مدينة طنطا. يتقدم إسماعيل لخطبتها لكن أمها شربات هانم (ماري منيب) ترفض الزواج في البداية، ثم توافق عليه لاحقاً. يسافر العروسان إلى القاهرة للاستمتاع بشهر العسل، لكنه يفاجئ بأن حماته لحقت بهما، وتتوالى المواقف عندما يحاول إسماعيل التخلص من حماته، والاستمتاع بشهر العسل.
