The Day of the Triffids is a 1963 British apocalyptic science-fiction horror film directed by Steve Sekely, loosely based on John Wyndham's 1951 novel of the same name. It stars Howard Keel, Nicole Maurey, Janette Scott, Kieron Moore and Mervyn Johns. The film was produced by Security Pictures and released in the UK by the Rank Organisation on 12 May 1963.
