Senaryosunu Turgut Özakman'ın 1957'de yazdığı aynı adlı tiyatro eserinden Vedat Türkali, Turgut Özakman ve Orhan Elmas'ın birlikte uyarlayıp yazdıkları filmi Orhan Elmas yönetmiş, başlıca rollerinde Tanju Gürsu, Belgin Doruk, Erol Taş, Hayati Hamzaoğlu ve Danyal Topatan oynamışlardır. Tanju Gürsu'nun aynı zamanda yapımcısı olduğu filmin görüntü yönetmeni Turgut Ören'dir. Filmin müzikleri Nedim Otyam 'a aittir. Suç işlemiş bireylerin toplumla olan ilişkilerini anlatan bir filmdir.
