"שמונה בעקבות אחד" הוא סרט ילדים ישראלי משנת 1964 בבימויו של מנחם גולן. התסריט נכתב על ידי אוריאל אופק עם ייעוץ של משה הדר, והוא מבוסס באופן חופשי על הספר "שמונה בעקבות אחד" מאת ימימה אבידר-טשרנוביץ'. המוזיקה נכתבה על ידי דובי זלצר ובסרט משולבים שלושה שירים בביצועה של גאולה גיל בליווי מקהלת הילדים על שם צדיקוב, בהם שניים שהתפרסמו: שיר הנושא "8 בעקבות אחד" ו"הגבעות הכחולות". הסרט צולם בקיבוץ גבעת השלושה. חיל האוויר הישראלי הציג בגאווה את בית הספר הטכני של חיל האוויר, מטוסי פוגה מגיסטר ומטוסי מיראז' 3 שזה אך נקלטו בחיל האוויר. מנחם גולן זכה בפרס כינור דוד על הבימוי ושייקה אופיר זכה בפרס זה על המשחק.
