הבן האובד הוא סרט קולנוע ישראלי משנת 1968 בבימויו של יוסף שלחין. התסריט נכתב לפי סיפור של שלחין שיש בו יסודות אוטוביוגרפיים. בתפקיד הראשי משחק שאול שלחין, בנו של הבמאי ששיחק בסרט קודם ומצליח של שלחין, הילד מעבר לרחוב. חלק מהצילומים נעשו בבית החולים הצרפתי על שם סנט לואי ביפו ובמקוה ישראל. המוזיקה נכתבה על ידי סשה ארגוב. לנעימת הנושא חיבר מאוחר יותר יעקב שבתאי מילים, והשיר "לפנות ערב", שבוצע על ידי עדנה גורן, זכה להצלחה גדולה ומושמע עד היום.
