Убиство на подмукао и свиреп начин и из ниских побуда је југословенски трилер из 1969. године који је режирао Живорад Жика Митровић по сценарију Милана Милићевића Ланга. Главне улоге у филму тумаче Михајло Јанкетић, Ирена Просен, Зоран Милосављевић, Петар Краљ и Драгослав Илић. Радња прати новинара који одлучује да се умеша у полицијску истрагу када схвати да је за убиство, о коме је извештавао, оптужен невин човек. По својој теми и по свом стилу се прилично ослањао на Митровићево раније остварење Нож (1967), али такође и дотицао дотадашње табу теме југословенске кинематографије као што је абортус (који је још увек био илегалан). Филм је изазвао пажњу и по томе што је снимљен у cinema verite стилу, односно што се уз игране користе и документарне сцене (које укључују протагонисте који гледају представу мјузикла Коса у београдском Атељеу 212), односно славне личности које се накратко појављују у камео улогама глумећи саме себе.
