How it feels
A forest ranger in Soviet Kazakhstan dedicates his life to planting trees and caring for the mountains. The film follows his personal hardships through decades of political upheaval and family tragedy. He believes that nature restored by his own hands can eventually overcome human cruelty.

Лісник із далекого лісництва Абдрахман Бегімбетов все життя прожив у горах. Він розчищав схили, садив ялинки та яблуневі сади. Нелегким було його життя: події 37 року, Велика Вітчизняна війна, народження та смерть чотирьох дітей.
