กลัวเมีย เป็นภาพยนตร์ไทยพูด (ในฟิล์ม) ของไทยแนวตลกชวนหัวประกอบเพลง ระบบ 35 มม. ระบบไวด์สกรีน เสียงในฟิล์ม (ซาวออนฟิล์ม) ของ บริษัทภาพยนตร์เสียงศรีกรุง จำกัด พ.ศ. 2479 (ขาวดำ) นำแสดงโดย มานี สุมนนัฎ นางเอกศรีกรุงผู้มีชื่อเสียงและ จำรัส สุวคนธ์ ดาวรุ่งดวงใหม่จาก เลือดชาวนา ซึ่งได้เป็นดาราระดับพระเอกศรีกรุงอย่างสมบูรณ์ มีสิทธิ์นั่งเก้าอี้พิเศษของโรงถ่ายหลังจากภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ นอกจากนี้ยังมีเพลงไพเราะร่วมสมัยเป็นที่จดจำของผู้ฟังเพลงจนถึงปัจจุบัน หลังจากศรีกรุงหยุดกิจการภาพยนตร์ไปนานตั้งแต่สมัยสงครามโลกครั้งที่สอง ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2514 ได้หวนกลับวงการอีกครั้งประเดิมด้วย กลัวเมีย ฉบับสร้างใหม่เป็นเรื่องแรก (สีอิสต์แมน) ในนาม ศรีกรุงภาพยนตร์ นำแสดงโดย สมบัติ เมทะนี และ อรัญญา นามวงศ์ ดาราคู่ขวัญยอดนิยมสมัยนั้น ร่วมด้วย รุจน์ รณภพ, นงลักษณ์ โรจนพรรณ (ดาราจอแก้วไทยทีวีช่อง 4 บางขุนพรหม ที่ก้าวสู่วงการจอเงินมาแล้วหลายเรื่อง) ฉายที่โรงภาพยนตร์เพชราม่า เชิงสะพานลอยประตูน้ำ (ใกล้ซอยชิดลม) ชายชาญ วสุวัต อำนวยการสร้าง, มานิต วสุวัต ที่ปรึกษา กำกับการแสดงโดย ขุนวิจิตรมาตรา ซึ่งเคยช่วยงานที่ศรีกรุงในยุคบุกเบิก (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
