Yaava Janmada Maitri () is a 1972 Kannada language romantic drama film directed by Geethapriya and starring Gangadhar and Kalpana in the lead roles. The film is a direct screen adaptation of the Ma. Bhi. She novel "Jeevana Chaduranga". Actress Vaishali Kasaravalli made her debut in this film, opposite comedian Narasimharaju. The film was remade in Telugu in 1973 as Sarada, in Tamil in 1973 as Radha and in Hindi in 1975 as Dulhan. Besides direction, Geethapriya also wrote the lyrics, screenplay and dialogues and won Karnataka State Film Award for the year 1972 for this story. The soundtrack and original score composed by Vijaya Bhaskar was widely acclaimed and won the State Award for music.
