Based on the story of Lord Venkateswara, the film stars Dr. Rajkumar, B. Saroja Devi and Manjula in key roles. It also featured the first screen appearances of Dr. Rajkumar's sons, Shiva Rajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar, as child actors.
