What happens
Kesän maku on mainos- ja muita tilauselokuvia ohjanneen Asko Tolosen ainoa pitkä näytelmäelokuva vuodelta 1975. Tolosen ja Kerttu-Kaarina Suosalmen käsikirjoitus perustui vapaasti Irene Hammarin (oik. Maire Harme) 1962 ilmestyneeseen romaaniin Saari, joka kuvasi kesänviettoa Utön saarella. Myös elokuva kuvattiin pääosin siellä, mutta myös Nötössä, Jurmossa ja Helsingissä. Elokuvasta on jäänyt elämään Esa Helasvuon säveltämä laulu ”Kesän maku”, jonka Pepe Willberg levytti Pertti Reposen sanoittamana. Elokuvassa teema kuullaan Helasvuon yhtyeen instrumentaalisovituksena. Kesän maun kuvasi luontokuvaajana tunnettu Markku Lehmuskallio lähes pelkästään luonnonvalolla. Kuvausapulaisena toimi Matti Pellonpää, jolla on myös kreditoimaton sivuosa elokuvassa varusmies Hessuna. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
