Set in the province of Laguna during the Second World War, with the town of Majayjay as the primary shooting location, the film stars Nora Aunor as barrio lass Rosario, Christopher De Leon as Japanese-Filipino army officer Masugi, and Bembol Roco as army guerrilla fighter Crispin.
