Die deutschsprachige Erstausstrahlung der zweiten Folge der sechsten Staffel folgte erst 1992 auf RTL plus. Die US-amerikanische Schauspielerin Joyce Van Patten verkörpert als Museumsdirektorin und Doppelmörderin Ruth Lytton die Gegenspielerin von Inspektor Columbo, dargestellt von Peter Falk.
