How it feels
A Soviet collective farm chairman and former war veteran wants to merge the equipment and workers of nearby struggling farms into one operation. He faces opposition from some people and a vote on his leadership is delayed until autumn. During a difficult harvest season, he manages to bring in the crops without losses.

«Крутое поле» — советский художественный фильм, снятый в 1979 году на студии «Мосфильм» режиссёром Леоном Сааковым. Председатель одного из передовых алтайских колхозов, бывший фронтовик Степан Кочкарин, намерен объединить на центральной усадьбе технику и кадры ближайших отстающих хозяйств в единый комплекс, но далеко не у всех находит поддержку.
