What happens
The Boogey Man is a 1980 American supernatural slasher film written and directed by Ulli Lommel, and starring Suzanna Love, John Carradine, and Ron James. The film's title refers to the superstition of boogeymen, and its plot concerns two siblings who are targeted by the ghost of their mother's deceased boyfriend, which has been freed from a mirror. Released theatrically on August 29, 1980 by independent distributor The Jerry Gross Organization, it received mixed to negative reviews, with critics decrying its strong similarities to earlier horror films such as Halloween, The Exorcist, and The Amityville Horror. The film was followed by two sequels: Boogeyman II and Return of the Boogeyman. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
