The catalogue in 3D
The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.
How it feels
Three young men from a rural area in northern Central Finland struggle to find their place in life. Limited opportunities at home force them to consider leaving their hometown to build a future elsewhere.

What happens
Ajolähtö on Mikko Niskasen ohjaama suomalainen draamaelokuva vuodelta 1982. Elokuva kertoo kolmen pohjoisesta Keski-Suomesta kotoisin olevan nuorukaisen yrityksistä saada ote elämästään. Kukin janoaa paikkaansa, jolle rakentaa loppuelämän kauniit päivät, kuten Mikko Alatalo laulaa elokuvan teemasävelmässä. Kotiseutu tarjoaa kuitenkin vain niukasti toimeentulomahdollisuuksia, niinpä poismuutto jää ainoaksi vaihtoehdoksi. Tyyliltään Ajolähtö on puolidokumentaarinen, kuten Mikko Niskasen useat muutkin ohjaustyöt. Elokuva sai parhaan ohjaajan ja parhaan kuvaajan Jussi-palkinnon 1982. Elokuvateattereissa Ajolähtö sai noin 175 000 katsojaa. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
