This documentary follows a 24 year old woman named Gundula. She works as an elderly care nurse in a retirement home and also sings with her band sometimes. Her daughter mostly lives with Gundula's mother. The film shows her daily life in unstaged scenes as she talks about her thoughts.

Gundula, Jahrgang ’58 ist ein Dokumentarfilm von Gitta Nickel von 1982. Die 24-jährige Gundula arbeitet in einem Feierabendheim in Neubrandenburg als Altenpflegerin und Krankenschwester. Daneben tritt sie als Sängerin der Band Trend manchmal bei Veranstaltungen auf. Ihre Tochter lebt vor allem bei Gundulas Mutter.
