Fue dirigida por Jeff Kwitny y protagonizada por Mary Kohnert y Bo Svenson. Es la última película de la trilogía Beyond the door, una serie de películas independientes unidas por un título común con fines de marketing. Se estrenó doce años después de la segunda película de la trilogía, Beyond the door II. Pese a la recepción negativa de la crítica logró convertiste con los años en una película de terror "De culto".
