Blue Thunder is a 1983 American action thriller film directed by John Badham and starring Roy Scheider, Malcolm McDowell, Daniel Stern, Candy Clark and Warren Oates. It depicts a Los Angeles police officer (Scheider) who discovers a conspiracy to dominate the city with an advanced military helicopter.
