Kann Sivanthaal Mann Sivakkum (transl. When eyes turn red, the soil will too) is a 1983 Indian Tamil-language film directed by debutant Sreedhar Rajan. Produced by R. Venkatraman, the film won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director at the 30th National Film Awards in 1983. It is based on Indira Parthasarathy's novel Kuruthipunal. The film stars newcomer Vijaymohan and Poornima Jayaram, with Jaishankar, Rajesh, N. Viswanathan and Raveendran in pivotal roles.
