The Cold Night (originaltittel: Han Ye) er en kinesisk dramafilm fra 1984 regissert av Que Wen. Filmen skildrer to klassekamerater som flytter sammen og får en sønn. Men den lille familien støter på store utfordringer; Mannen blir alvorlig syk og trenger pleie, noe som forverrer de økonomiske problemene. I tillegg må kvinnen hanskes med en vanskelig svigermor. Handlingen er lagt midten av 1940-årene, i skyggen av den andre kinesisk-japanske krig. Hovedrollene spilles av Xu Huanshan og Pan Hong.
