Ylösnousemus on Anssi Mänttärin ohjaama elokuva vuodelta 1985. Käsikirjoitus on Mänttärin oma. Mänttäri kertoi suunnittelevansa Kuolema-trilogiaa, josta tämän oli tarkoitus olla toinen osa. Kahta muuta ei kuitenkaan syntynyt, vaikka Mänttäri teki samana vuonna useita elokuvia. Pääosaa, ekonomi Ponsimaata, näyttelevä Ilkka Kylävaara on käynyt teatterikoulun mutta hänet tunnettiin tuolloin pikemminkin toimittajana ja kirjailijana. Tarina kertoo, kuinka Ponsimaa lavastaa itsemurhansa ja jää seuraamaan ympäristön reaktioita. Kylävaaran valinta päärooliin sai kriitikot pohtimaan, oliko valinta osunut oikeaan: "Kylävaara on siis tavallaan määrännyt elokuvan luonteen."
